Easter Resurrection Rolls...Easy Recipe for Young & Old
INGREDIENTS:
1 Package of Cresent Rolls
8 Large Marshmallows
Melted Butter
Cinnamon Sugar (equal parts cinnamon & sugar)

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350F. Give each child a crescent roll triangle to represent the cloth Jesus was wrapped in. Give each child a marshmallow to represent Jesus (our sweet savior). Have the child dip the marshmallow into the melted butter (representing annointing oils). Roll marshmallow in cinnamon sugar(represents annointing spices). Wrap the coated marshmallow tightly in the crescent roll. Seal edges by pinching. Place in oven for 10-12 minutes (oven represents tomb). Allow to cool. Child will find roll is puffed up like a regular, but a little bigger, crescent, but empty of "marshmallow," but its sweetness remains behind. He is Risen!!

Makes 8 servings.
NOTE: This recipe is a lot easier than the traditional Easter cookie recipe, but still tells the story. A thank you to Betsy, who I think is the person who sent me this originally. From Make a Note....

We did these and brought some to my Primary class this year. Always cool, and works with any bread dough (I used my homemade roll dough) or type of marshmallow (we had some strawberry ones and you couldn't taste the difference). Oh, we also rolled it in cinnamon/sugar on the outside, too. YUM!
