I hope you all enjoy this article...In the last years of my dads life, he did square foot gardening and he loved it. Our tomato garden is basically above the ground and it is doing great.

My daughter has made several large above the ground planting boxes for veggies.
I still have my garden in the ground but tomatoes and peppers are in huge pots on the patio and are doing good. I did use the Ruth Stout method of newspaper and grass clippings and it is working wonderful for mulch. I have sandy soil so it drys out fast. This is really helping a lot.

I may try to do some gardening next year or plant some flowers this fall ro something...I dunno.

My everything is black, not green....so we will see. LOL

That is a very interesting article and a great idea. I know someone who does this successfully, so I know it works. I'd like to try it too! I think it looks really neat too.
