Makes sence to me.....

"You can not help the poor by destroying the rich. You can not strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You can not bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You can not lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You can not further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You can not build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and independence. You can not help men permanently by doing for them what they should and could do for themselves." --Abraham Lincoln

Is there something you are trying to finish? Check this out.

These were some really cute photos.

Are you sure that isn't from the Bible...lol

We all should read this over and over and live by it...but our congress and political leaders should read it first!

Thanks again for your response to my post.

It might be from the Bible, it says the poor will always be with us. It also has some hints on how to switch out of being poor.
I always pitied that poor sluggard, I love to turn from side to side in my bed. :-)
Lucy, you did good today.
..
Oh yes, Abe Lincoln got a lot his ideas from the Bible. :-)

I liked that picture of the skull made of tin cans. I could use that for my Halloween yard display.

Wow! An easy word to verify for a change.

I love this quote. Mr. Lincoln was a very wise man. We need more like him now.

Abe Lincoln - what a man!
I've stood in Washington D.C. in front of his image and read his words on the walls of his memorial. I had to hold back tears it was so powerful.

This quote on your blog is pure truth. He was a man of great wisdom and a strong leader. I'd vote for him if he was alive today!!!

Those photos are neat. I like the polar bear, and the one wintry scene with the golden tree amidst the snow.

There are a few periods in time I'd love to be a part of. When Abe was in charge, that would be one of them. He was an amazing man and had the courage of a thousand lions.
